The Smithfield Leadership Programme has been developed using our core values of innovation and good people science. It helps leaders to develop fundamental behaviours that have been shown in research to significantly improve leadership capability.
It is not like other leadership programmes that focus on teaching management skills. This programme works at the foundation of leadership - changing the behaviour and the perspective of delegates; the way they think and the way they act.
The programme is made up of a number of activities:
- a behaviour diagnostic using 360 appraisal
- a series of workshops
- a business topic
- on-going executive coaching
The unique and innovative aspect of it is the content of the leadership workshops. They are based on the three most important elements of leadership behaviour:
- strategic thinking
- strategic influencing
- leadership resilience
The workshops open up for delegates these topics, how they impact on work performance, and ways in which delegates can change the way that they operate in their own work situations.
